How it works

Most planners expect every day to go to plan

Tasks live in one app, notes in another, and the real shape of the day sits on a scrap of paper. Bloomingo starts from the day you actually have. Every date on the calendar opens its own board.

October 2026Filled days have a board
Wednesday 14 October
  • Interview notes into the thesis board
  • Order printer ink
  • Back up the laptop

Kept as you left it.

Thursday 15 October Today
  • Draft the launch post 10:00
  • Call the bank before 4 15:00
  • First draft: 4,000 words

Room for everything else around it.

Friday 16 October

Nothing yet. It's ready when you are.

Get it out of your head first

The braindump is one board with no date. Put a thought there the moment it shows up. Give it a day later, move it to a project, or leave it. Thoughts you haven't opened for weeks fade, and Bloomingo never deletes them.

How the braindump works
The braindump board with sticky notes and notes: learn to make sourdough, gift ideas for Ana, an app idea, a 6am walk and books people keep recommending.

Projects are boards too

Keep a project's tasks, notes and reading on one board. Wrap related things in a section so they move together, and put a board inside a board when a project grows.

Boards and sections
A Thesis project board: a Reading section and a Chapter 3 section, each holding a task list and a note, joined by a line, with an Interviews board beside them.

Put a task on a project and on today

Tick it once and it's done on both. Nothing to copy, and nothing to keep in step.

Coming back

Coming back is ordinary

Each new day, yesterday's unfinished tasks wait in a small tray. Keep them for today, move them, or let them go. Anything you haven't decided on by the end of the day goes back to the braindump.

No streaks. Nothing turns red when a day doesn't go to plan.

The small things that keep a day moving

The timeline, with Draft the launch post at 10:00, Call the bank at 15:00 and Gym at 17:30.

Give the hours a shape

Drag a task onto the timeline to give it a time. The board stays as loose as you like.

A running clock named Draft the launch post, at 24:39.

A clock beside the work

Join a timer to a task and it takes the task's name, keeps count and remembers your sessions.

The command menu searching for launch, listing the Launch week section, a task, a clock and the Launch post note.

Find anything with ⌘K

Every day, board, note and task is a few letters away, and opening one takes you right to it.

The Launch post note open in the side panel, with headings, a list and a checklist.

Notes open beside the board

Write as much as you need, with headings, lists and checklists, while your day stays in view.

Thursday's board in the dark theme.

Easy on the eyes at night

A dark theme tuned on its own, so late planning stays calm.

A system, not a structure

Most planners ask you to build the system before you can use it, and keeping it tidy turns into the job. Bloomingo comes ready. New things land in sensible places, and Tidy lines them up when you ask. You decide what things mean, and the app does the chores.

Before you can start

  • Design a database
  • Choose a template
  • Set up tags and properties
  • Watch a setup tutorial

None of it. Open today and start writing.
